## Biography

Ann Eleonora Jørgensen is a Danish actress. She was born on 16 October 1965 in Hjørring, Denmark, and trained at Statens Teaterskole, graduating in 1993.

She is known for her television roles as Nina Boye-Larsen in the series *Taxa* (1997–1999) and as Pernille Birk Larsen in *The Killing* (2007). Her film work includes *Italian for Beginners* (2000), for which she received a Robert Award for Best Supporting Actress, and *In Your Hands* (2004). She has also appeared in *Midsomer Murders* (2014, 2018) as Birgitte Poulsen, *Elves* (2021) as Karen, and *Ride Upon the Storm* (2017–2018) as Elisabeth.

Jørgensen has performed in numerous stage productions at theatres including Mungo Park, Aveny-T and Grønnegårds Teatret, and has been a member of the touring company Det Danske Teater.
