## Biography

Ann Hollowood was a costume designer whose credits include numerous television series and films. She worked on *The Muppet Show* and supplied costumes for guest stars across its run. Her early credits also encompass *Edward the King* (1975) and *The Railway Children* (1968).

Hollowood specialised in fantasy costumes for Jim Henson's Creature Shop projects. She designed for the series *The Storyteller* (1987–1988), receiving a BAFTA Television Craft Award for Best Costume Design in 1989. She contributed to *The Storyteller: Greek Myths* (1991), *Nightbreed* (1990), *The Muppet Christmas Carol* (1992) and *Merlin* (1998).

Further credits include *The Magical Legend of the Leprechauns* (1999), *Jack and the Beanstalk: The Real Story* (2001) and *The Ten Commandments* (2006). Hollowood won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Costume Design for a Miniseries or Movie for *Merlin* in 1998 and shared an earlier Emmy for *Edward the King*. She died in February 2014 in the UK.
