## Biography

Ann Lewis Hamilton is an American television writer and producer. She worked as a writer and producer on the series *thirtysomething* (1987). In 1991 she received two Emmy Award nominations for her work on the show, including Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series for the episode "Second Look", and won a Humanitas Prize.

She later served as co-executive producer on *Party of Five* (1994) and as consulting producer on the first season of *Grey's Anatomy* (2005), sharing a Writers Guild of America Award for Best New Series. Other credits include writing and producing roles on *One Tree Hill* (2003), *Providence*, *The Dead Zone* (2002) and *Haven* (2010). She grew up in Staunton, Virginia, in a family with a background in journalism, and published her debut novel *Expecting* in 2014.
