Anna J. Foerster is a German-born American cinematographer and director. She studied camera at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg and began her career in visual effects and second-unit work, including collaborations with Roland Emmerich on films such as *Independence Day* (1996), *Godzilla* (1998) and *The Day After Tomorrow* (2004).

As a director she has worked on episodes of *Criminal Minds* (2009–2011), *Outlander* (2014–2015), *Jessica Jones* (2018), *Carnival Row* (2019) and *Westworld* (2020).
