Annaleigh Ashford is an American actress, singer and dancer. Born on 25 June 1985 in Denver, Colorado, she trained at Marymount Manhattan College and began her career in musical theatre.

She appeared in Broadway productions of *Wicked* (2007), *Legally Blonde* (2007) and originated the role of Lauren in *Kinky Boots* (2013), for which she received a Tony Award nomination. She won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play for her performance as Essie Carmichael in the 2014–15 revival of *You Can't Take It with You* and starred as Dot/Marie in the 2017 revival of *Sunday in the Park with George*.

On television, Ashford portrayed Betty DiMello in the Showtime series *Masters of Sex* (2013–2016). Her other screen credits include roles in *American Crime Story* (2016–2021) and the film *Bad Education* (2019).
