Anson Mount is an American actor. He was born on 25 February 1973 in Mount Prospect, Illinois, and grew up in Tennessee. He holds a BA from the University of the South and an MFA in acting from Columbia University.

Mount is known for his television roles as Cullen Bohannon in the AMC series *Hell on Wheels* (2011–2016) and as Captain Christopher Pike in *Star Trek: Discovery* (2017–2019) and *Star Trek: Strange New Worlds* (2022–present). He played Black Bolt in the ABC series *Inhumans* (2017) and reprised the role in the film *Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness* (2022). His other film credits include *Crossroads* (2002) and *Non-Stop* (2014).
