## Biography

Ante Cheng is a cinematographer based in Los Angeles. He trained at the University of Southern California, where he received an MFA.

He is known for his work on the films *Gook* (2017), *Ms. Purple* (2019) and *Blue Bayou* (2021), all directed by Justin Chon, as well as the series *Pachinko* (2022). Cheng has also served as director of photography on *His & Hers* (2026) and *Ironheart* (2025). In 2021 he was named one of Variety's "10 Cinematographers to Watch".

Cheng received a Primetime Emmy nomination for outstanding main title design on *Pachinko* and an Independent Spirit Award nomination for best cinematography on *Blue Bayou*.
