## Biography

Anthony Garner is a British television director and occasional writer. His early credits include directing two episodes of the BBC anthology series *Play for Today* in 1984, for which he also wrote one episode, and directing the 1975 short film *The Racer*.

Garner directed three episodes of the second series of *Auf Wiedersehen, Pet* in 1986. He went on to direct episodes of series including *Boon* (five episodes, 1990–1995), *Casualty* (three episodes, 1997–2002), *Soldier Soldier* (ten episodes, 1993–1994) and *Brookside* (14 episodes, 1999–2002), as well as *Peak Practice*, *Where the Heart Is* and *Born and Bred*.
