## Biography

Anthony Holland (1928–1988) was an American actor. He graduated from the University of Chicago and studied acting with Lee Strasberg. He was one of the original members of the Second City improvisational comedy group.

Holland appeared in films including *Midnight Cowboy* (1969), *Klute* (1971) as an actor's agent, *The Out-of-Towners* (1970), *All That Jazz* (1979) and *Tempest* (1982). His television credits include episodes of *Columbo*, *M*A*S*H* (1972) as Captain Hildebrand, *Miami Vice* and *Night Court*. He also performed in theatre, receiving praise for his role in the 1987 production *The Hunger Artist*.
