## Biography

Anthony Peck (born Carmen Anthony Pecchio) was an American actor. Born on 20 March 1947 in Youngstown, Ohio, he studied at the University of Toledo, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, and received a Master of Fine Arts in acting from Temple University.

Peck appeared in several films directed by John McTiernan. These included *Die Hard* (1988), in which he played a young cop; *The Hunt for Red October* (1990), as Lieutenant Commander Philip Thompson; *Last Action Hero* (1993); and *Die Hard with a Vengeance* (1995), as NYPD Detective Ricky Walsh. His other film credits include *Creator* (1985), *In the Line of Fire* (1993) and *Carnosaur 3: Primal Species* (1996). He also worked in television, with appearances in series such as *Knots Landing*, *Knight Rider* and *Quantum Leap*.

Peck died of cancer on 30 July 1996 in Beverly Hills, California, aged 49.
