## Biography

Anthony Ruivivar is an American actor born on 4 November 1970 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He trained at Boston University, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, and began his career with small roles in films including *Race the Sun* (1996) and *Starship Troopers* (1997).

His breakthrough came with the role of paramedic Carlos Nieto in the NBC series *Third Watch* (1999–2005). He later appeared in recurring or guest capacities on series such as *The Mentalist* (2008), *Criminal Minds* (2005), *Castle* (2009), *Hawaii Five-0* (2010) and *The Haunting of Hill House* (2018), and in films including *Tropic Thunder* (2008) and *The Adjustment Bureau* (2011).

Ruivivar played Alex Longshadow in the Cinemax series *Banshee* (2013–2015) and voiced Bruce Wayne / Batman in the animated series *Beware the Batman* (2013–2014). He is married to actress Yvonne Jung.
