## Biography

Antoinette Concello (1910–1984) was a Canadian-American trapeze artist and performer. She appeared as herself in Cecil B. DeMille's 1952 film *The Greatest Show on Earth*, performing with the Flying Concellos troupe.

In 1950, DeMille hired Concello to train actors including Betty Hutton for their trapeze roles in the film; she also coached Cornel Wilde and Dorothy Lamour. A member of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, she became the first woman to perform a triple somersault on the flying trapeze and was later the circus's aerial director until 1983. She was inducted into the Circus Hall of Fame in 1963.
