## Biography

Antonio Neiwiller was an Italian actor, theatre director and playwright. Born in Naples in 1948, he began working in experimental theatre in the late 1960s and co-founded the cooperative Teatro dei Mutamenti in 1977. In 1987 he helped establish Teatri Uniti with Mario Martone and Toni Servillo.

On screen he appeared in *Morte di un matematico napoletano* (1992) and *Caro diario* (1993), playing the Mayor of Stromboli. He died in Rome in November 1993.
