Anya Epstein is an American television writer and producer. Born on 10 July 1970 in New York City, she began her career on the NBC series *Homicide: Life on the Street* (1993), working as a story editor and assistant to producer Tom Fontana before receiving writing credits on numerous episodes and advancing to producer roles from 1997 to 1999.

She has written for series including *The Beat* (2000), *Commander in Chief* (2005), *Tell Me You Love Me* (2007), *In Treatment* (2008), *The Affair* (2014), *The Deuce* (2017) and *I Know This Much Is True* (2020). Epstein has collaborated professionally with her husband, writer and actor Dan Futterman, whom she married in 2000. She is the granddaughter of screenwriter Philip G. Epstein.
