## Biography

April Ferry (born April Cecilia Gaskins) was an American costume designer. She began her career as a Broadway dancer in the original production of *Kismet* before moving into costume work in the late 1960s after her divorce, becoming a full designer with *The Big Chill* (1983).

Ferry received an Academy Award nomination for *Maverick* (1994) and won a Primetime Emmy Award for the HBO series *Rome* (2005–2007). Her credits include *Donnie Darko* (2001), *Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines* (2003), *Elysium* (2013), *RoboCop* (2014), *Jurassic World* (2015) and season six of *Game of Thrones* (2016). She received the Costume Designers Guild Career Achievement Award in 2014. Ferry died on 11 January 2024, aged 91.
