## Biography

April Napier is a costume designer whose feature film credits include *Lady Bird* (2017), *Booksmart* (2019) and *May December* (2023). She has also designed costumes for *The Cell* (2000), *Certain Women* (2016), *First Cow* (2019) and *Showing Up* (2022).

A California native, Napier completed an MFA in art in Illinois before moving to Los Angeles, where she began working as a stylist. She has designed for music videos, including the award-winning Nine Inch Nails video for "Closer", and commercials, as well as films directed by Greta Gerwig, Olivia Wilde, Todd Haynes and Kelly Reichardt, with whom she has collaborated on multiple projects.

Napier received a Costume Designers Guild award for short-form work and a nomination for *May December*. She was also nominated by the guild for *Lady Bird*.
