Ariel S. Leve is an American author and journalist. Born in New York City in 1968, she has written for publications including *The Guardian*, *The New York Times*, *Vanity Fair* and *Esquire*. She was a columnist for *The Guardian* and a senior writer for *The Sunday Times Magazine* from 2003 to 2010, where she wrote the humour column 'Cassandra'.

Leve’s memoir *An Abbreviated Life* was published in 2016. She has also written for television, serving as story editor on ten episodes of the FX series *Better Things* (2016) and co-writing the episode 'The World Is Mean Right Now' (2022). Earlier credits include writing for *Idiot Savants* (1997) and a segment of *KaBlam!* (1998).
