## Biography

Arlette Langmann (born 3 April 1946) is a French screenwriter, film editor and production designer.

Born in Paris, she began working in film in the late 1960s. She has collaborated extensively as a writer and editor with Maurice Pialat on films including *Loulou* (1980), for which she co-wrote the screenplay, and *À nos amours* (1983). She has also worked frequently with her brother Claude Berri, editing *Jean de Florette* (1986) and co-writing *Uranus* (1990) and *Germinal* (1993), and with Philippe Garrel on several later screenplays.

Her credits as screenwriter or co-writer include *Naked Childhood* (1968), *The Salt of Tears* (2020) and *The Plough* (2023).
