## Biography

Armando Salas is a cinematographer. Born in Havana, Cuba, he immigrated to the United States during the Mariel boatlift and grew up in Miami. He attended the New World School of the Arts and earned a BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art and an MFA from Florida State University’s College of Motion Picture Arts, where he received a Jacob K. Javits Fellowship and the 2002 American Society of Cinematographers Student Heritage Award.

Salas has worked on independent films and commercials before moving into television. He is a member of the American Society of Cinematographers, inducted in 2020. His credits include *Ozark* (2018–2020), for which he received Emmy nominations, *Griselda* (2024), also Emmy-nominated, *Invasion* (2021), *The Terminal List* (2022) and *The Old Man* (2022). He served as cinematographer on the series *Lanterns* (2026) and *Wonder Man* (2026).
