## Biography

Arnold Stang (28 September 1918 – 20 December 2009) was an American comic actor and voice actor. Born in New York City, he began his career in radio as a child in the 1930s and later appeared on television programmes including The Milton Berle Show.

He is known for voicing the title character in the animated series Top Cat (1961) and for film roles including Ray in It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (1963) and Sparrow in The Man with the Golden Arm (1955). Stang continued working in television and film into the 1990s.
