Art Baker (born Arthur Appleton Shank) was an American actor in film, television and radio. Born in New York City on 7 January 1898, he served as a song leader in the United States Army during the First World War before beginning his entertainment career as a radio announcer in Los Angeles.

Baker appeared in more than 40 films, including *Spellbound* (1945) as Det. Lt. Cooley, *The Farmer's Daughter* (1947) and *Impact* (1949). He also narrated the 1943 Walt Disney documentary *Victory Through Air Power*. On radio he hosted *People Are Funny* and created *Art Baker's Notebook*; on television he hosted the long-running *You Asked for It* from 1950. He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his work in radio and television. Baker died in Los Angeles on 26 August 1966.
