## Biography

Art Garfunkel is an American actor and singer. With Paul Simon he formed the duo Simon & Garfunkel, who contributed music to the 1967 film *The Graduate*.

Garfunkel made his feature-film acting debut in Mike Nichols' *Catch-22* (1970) as Captain Nately. He played Sandy in Nichols' *Carnal Knowledge* (1971), a role that brought a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Subsequent film appearances include *Bad Timing* (1980) as Alex Linden, *Boxing Helena* (1993) as Dr Lawrence Augustine and *The Rebound* (2009) as Harry Finklestein. He has also voiced characters in television series including *Frasier* (1993).
