## Biography

Arthur A. Brooks (1906–1982) was an American film editor. He worked in Hollywood for independent production companies from the late 1920s until the end of the 1940s.

Brooks edited the 1931 docufiction *Tabu: A Story of the South Seas*, directed by F. W. Murnau. His other credits include numerous low-budget Westerns and features such as *Social Error* (1935), *Suicide Squad* (1935), *The Duke Is Tops* (1938) and *Shamrock Hill* (1949). He occasionally worked as a producer and writer.
