Arthur Hilton (also credited as Arthur D. Hilton) was a British-born film editor and director. Born in London on 5 April 1897, he edited his first film in 1928 before emigrating to the United States. He worked as an editor at Columbia, RKO and Universal studios.

His editing credits include *The Bank Dick* (1940), *The Killers* (1946), for which he received an Academy Award nomination, *Secret Beyond the Door* (1947) and *House by the River* (1950). He later moved into television, editing episodes of series including *Mission: Impossible* (1969–1970) and *Hawaii Five-O* (1970–1972).

Hilton also directed a number of films and television episodes, among them *Cat-Women of the Moon* (1953) and work on *Lassie*. He received further nominations from the American Cinema Editors and the Primetime Emmy Awards.
