## Biography

Artur Młodnicki (1911–1972) was a Polish actor and theatre director. He was born in Lwów (now Lviv, Ukraine) and died in Wrocław, Poland.

He began his stage career before the Second World War and from 1952 until his death was associated with the Polish Theatre in Wrocław, where he also directed productions. He appeared in more than twenty films between 1947 and 1972.

His film roles include Kotowicz in *Ashes and Diamonds* (1958), the Inquisitor in *The Saragossa Manuscript* (1965), a scientist (uncredited) in *The Silent Star* (1960), and a doctor in *Four Tank-Men and a Dog* (1966). He was married to actress Irena Tomaszewska and was the father of actress Iwa Młodnicka.
