Athol Compton is an Aboriginal Australian actor. Born in 1951, he began appearing in Australian television series in the late 1960s and early 1970s, with roles in programmes such as *Skippy*, *Homicide* and *The Games* (1970).

He is known for his performance as Billy Corman in Peter Weir’s *The Last Wave* (1977). Other credits include the television mini-series *The Timeless Land* (1980), in which he played Billalong, and appearances in *A Country Practice* (1984), *Short Changed* (1986) and *BabaKiueria* (1986).
