Avril Chown is a Canadian actor and singer. She appeared in the 1972 Toronto production of *Godspell* at the Royal Alexandra Theatre, alongside performers including Victor Garber, Martin Short, Eugene Levy, Gilda Radner and Andrea Martin.

Her other credits include an acting role in the 1969 television series *It's Our Stuff* and work as a singer on the 1980 film *Hog Wild*. She is also credited as Self in the 1993 television film *Friends of Gilda* and in the 2025 documentary *You Had to Be There: How the Toronto Godspell Ignited the Comedy Revolution, Spread Love & Overalls, and Created a Community That Changed the World (in a Canadian Kind of Way)*, where she discusses her experiences in the *Godspell* production and subsequent work on *The Hudson Brothers Razzle Dazzle Show*.
