## Biography

Ayberk Pekcan (22 May 1970 – 24 January 2022) was a Turkish actor. He was born in Mersin and graduated from the Theatre Department at Mersin University Faculty of Fine Arts. After working as a labourer, civil servant and teacher, he moved to Istanbul in 2001 and began his acting career.

Pekcan appeared in films including *Mustang* (2015) as Erol, *Winter Sleep* (2014) as Hidayet, *Where's Firuze?* (2004) and *Valley of the Wolves* (2003). On television he played Artuk Bey in *Resurrection: Ertugrul* (2014–2019). He received the best supporting actor award at the Ankara International Film Festival for his performance in *Aşk ve Devrim* (2011). He died in Mersin from lung cancer.
