## Biography

Ayhan Ergürsel was a Turkish film editor. He edited Nuri Bilge Ceylan’s *The Small Town* (1997), *Clouds of May* (1999), *Distant* (2002), *Climates* (2006) and *Three Monkeys* (2008). He also worked on Semih Kaplanoğlu’s *Egg* (2007) and *Honey* (2010), and Pelin Esmer’s *10 to 11* (2009) and *Watchtower* (2012).

Born in Istanbul in 1961, Ergürsel began working in film during the later years of Yeşilçam. He received the Best Editing award at the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival for *Climates* in 2006. Six films he edited were selected for the Cannes Film Festival competition.

Ergürsel died in Istanbul in 2019.
