Ayu Kitaura is a Japanese actress. She made her film debut as Kyoko in Hirokazu Kore-eda’s *Nobody Knows* (2004).

Born on 26 November 1992 in Tokyo, she has appeared in films including *Wool 100%* (2006), *Your Friend* (2008), *Nakitai toki no kusuri* (2009), *My Friend A* (2018) and *Monster* (2023), again directed by Kore-eda. Her television credits include episodes of *MIU404* (2020) and *Hibana* (2016). She won the Best New Actress award at the 19th Takasaki Film Festival for her debut performance.
