## Biography

Azusa Yamazaki is a Japanese film editor. She studied at the graduate school of Tokyo University of the Arts and then worked as a university assistant while editing projects for around four years.

She has edited multiple films by director Ryusuke Hamaguchi, including *The Depths* (2010), *Asako I & II* (2018) and *Drive My Car* (2021). Other credits include *Evil Does Not Exist* (2023), *The Fish Tale* (2022) and *Chime* (2024). Yamazaki received the Japan Academy Prize for Best Editing and the Asian Film Award for Best Editing for *Drive My Car*.
