Barbara Allyne Bennet was an American actress who worked in film, television and theatre. She appeared as a scientist in the 1988 film *Mac and Me*. Her television credits included guest roles in series such as *The Office* (2005), *Shameless* (2011), *Beverly Hills, 90210* (1990), *Murder, She Wrote* (1984), *Brothers and Sisters* (2006), *Party of Five* (1994), *The Practice* (1997), *Felicity* (1998) and *Chicago Hope* (1994).

Bennet trained in theatre and began her career with stage work in New York before moving to Los Angeles in the 1970s. She also held behind-the-camera roles, including production coordinator on the series *Flying High* and production assistant on the film *The Rose* (1979). She served on the national board of the Screen Actors Guild from 2005 to 2007 and provided voice work for commercials.

Bennet died in Duarte, California, in 2016.
