## Biography

Barbara Randolph (5 May 1942 – 15 July 2002) was an American actress and singer. Born in Detroit, Michigan, she was adopted by actress Lillian Randolph and began her career as a child, appearing as Tanya Hamilton in the 1953 film *Bright Road* under the name Barbara Ann Sanders.

She is best known for her role as Dorothy in the 1967 film *Guess Who's Coming to Dinner*. Randolph also had an uncredited part as a cigarette girl in *Cactus Flower* (1969) and appeared in the television series *Channing* (1963). She recorded for Motown Records in the 1960s and was briefly a member of The Platters.
