## Biography

Barbro Sörman was a Swedish costume designer and fashion and textile designer. She worked as costume designer on several Ingmar Bergman films, including *Waiting Women* (1952), *Summer with Monika* (1953) and *Autumn Sonata* (1978).

Born in Göteborg in 1927, she studied at Anders Beckman's school and Stockholm's tailoring academy. She later became known for her Sörman shirts and dresses, produced in collaboration with Twilfit from 1967, and died in Lidingö in 2006.
