## Biography

Barnaby Southcombe is a British director, producer and writer. He studied French and History of Art at University College London, where he became involved in theatre, and later participated in the NYU film programme. After directing stage work in Paris and short films, he worked in television production in New Zealand before returning to London to direct music videos and commercials.

His television directing credits include episodes of *As If*, *Teachers* (2004), *Top Buzzer*, *Bad Girls* (2006) and *Waterloo Road*. Southcombe wrote and directed his feature debut *I, Anna* (2012), a noir thriller starring Charlotte Rampling, which premiered at the Berlin Film Festival. He is a founding partner of Embargo Films and has also directed the feature *Scarborough* (2018).
