Barret Helms, also credited as Barret Isaiah Mindell, is an American actor and television writer.

He began his career as an actor, appearing in the film *Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire* (2009) as Tom Cruise, the series *Unforgettable* (2012) as Jeremy Hall, and *One Life to Live* (2011–2012) as Baz Moreau. He has also worked in short films, podcasts and as a model.

Helms holds an MFA in Screenwriting from the University of Southern California. He has written multiple episodes of the Netflix series *Sweet Magnolias* (2020–), serving as staff writer, story editor and executive story editor. He received a 2017 Voice Arts Award nomination for voice work on the podcast *Powder Burns*.
