Barry Alexander Brown is a British-born American film editor and director. He was born on 28 November 1960 in Warrington, Cheshire, England.

Brown has frequently collaborated with director Spike Lee, serving as editor on films including *Do the Right Thing* (1989), *Malcolm X* (1992), *He Got Game* (1998), *25th Hour* (2002), *Inside Man* (2006) and *BlacKkKlansman* (2018). He was also second unit director on *Malcolm X*. He received an Academy Award nomination for Best Film Editing for *BlacKkKlansman*. As a director, his credits include the documentary *The War at Home* (1979), for which he shared an Oscar nomination.
