## Biography

Barry M. Schkolnick (born 2 April 1958) is an American television writer and producer. He wrote the teleplay for the *Star Trek: The Next Generation* fifth-season episode "Conundrum" (1992).

He worked as a writer on fourteen episodes of *Law & Order* between 1993 and 2000, and as story editor and executive story editor on the series from 1995 to 1997. He received a Writers Guild of America Award nomination for the episode "Savages". Schkolnick was also a story editor on *L.A. Law*.

His other credits as writer and producer include *The Division* (2001–2003), *The Guardian* (2003–2004), *Medical Investigation* (2004–2005), *In Justice* (2006), *The Dresden Files* (2007), *Legend of the Seeker* (2008–2009), *The Good Wife* (2010) and *In Plain Sight* (2011). He contributed original material for episodes of *Law & Order: UK* in 2010 and 2011.
