Barry Oringer was an American screenwriter and producer. He was born on 3 December 1935 in New York and died on 10 January 2021 in Novato, California.

Oringer studied at Brooklyn College, where he earned a BA in drama and English. He began his career writing the English script for the 1962 film *Damon and Pythias* and went on to write episodes for numerous television series, including *The Fugitive*, *The Invaders*, *Mannix*, *Ben Casey*, *Barnaby Jones* and *The F.B.I.*. He co-wrote the pilot episode of the series *Hotel* with John Furia Jr. and contributed to several made-for-television films.
