## Biography

Basil Kreimendahl is a playwright and television writer. They received an MFA from the University of Iowa in 2013 and were an alumni playwright at New Dramatists from 2014 to 2023.

Kreimendahl’s plays include *Orange Julius*, developed at the 2012 O’Neill National Playwrights Conference and given its New York premiere at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater; *Sidewinders*, which won the Rella Lossy Playwright’s Award; and *We’re Gonna Be Okay*, which premiered at the 2017 Humana Festival. They have received commissions from the Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s American Revolutions Program and Actors Theatre of Louisville, and fellowships including the Jerome and McKnight Fellowships. As a screenwriter, Kreimendahl has contributed to the series *Halo* (2022) as staff writer and written episodes for its second season in 2024. They have also been named playwright in residence at Rattlestick Theater for 2023–26.
