## Biography

Bathsheba Sarah Lee 'Bash' Doran is a British playwright and television writer. She grew up in London and is the daughter of Elizabethan historian Susan Doran. She holds a BA and MA from Cambridge University, an MA from the University of Oxford, an MFA from Columbia University, and was a playwriting fellow at the Juilliard School. She moved to the United States in 2000 on a Fulbright Scholarship.

Doran began her professional writing career in British comedy sketch shows, including additional material for *Bruiser* and *Smack the Pony*. Her plays include *Kin* (2011) and *The Mystery of Love and Sex* (2015). On television she has written for *Boardwalk Empire* (2010), for which she received a Writers Guild of America nomination, *Smash* (2012), *Masters of Sex* (2013), and *The Looming Tower* (2018). She created the series *Traitors* (2019) and co-wrote the screenplay for *Outlaw King* (2018). She lives in New York City.
