## Biography

Becky Sloan, also credited as Rebecca Sloan, is a British filmmaker, writer, director, animator and puppet maker. She studied fine art and animation at Kingston University, where she met frequent collaborator Joseph Pelling.

Sloan is best known as co-creator, writer and director of the *Don't Hug Me I'm Scared* web series (2011–2016) and its 2022 television adaptation, both made with Pelling and later Baker Terry. She wrote one episode of *The Amazing World of Gumball* (2017) and provided a voice for it. She has also directed music videos and commercials.

The 2022 series won a BAFTA Television Craft Award for production design.
