## Biography

Belén Atienza Azcona is a Spanish film and television producer. Born in Madrid in 1970, she studied law at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid before entering the film industry. She worked at Sogepaq and Telecinco Cinema, where she served as executive producer on films including *Pan's Labyrinth* (2006), *The Orphanage* (2007) and the *Che* films (2008). In 2003 she co-founded the production company Apaches Entertainment with Enrique López Lavigne.

She has produced multiple films directed by J. A. Bayona, among them *The Impossible* (2012), *A Monster Calls* (2016), *Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom* (2018) and *Society of the Snow* (2023). She has also worked as executive producer on the television series *Penny Dreadful* and *The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power* (2022). In 2024 she received the Elías Querejeta Prize from the Spanish Film Academy.
