Ben Markson, also credited as Benjamin Markson, was an American screenwriter. He began his career as a journalist before working in the publicity department at Paramount Pictures. His first film credit was as co-writer on the 1928 silent film *The River Pirate*.

Markson contributed to numerous films during the 1930s, including the dialogue for *Gold Diggers of 1933*, the screenplay for *What Price Hollywood?* (1932), and both the story and screenplay for *Here Comes the Navy* (1934). He continued writing for films into the 1950s and contributed teleplays for television series such as *The Cisco Kid*.

Markson was born on 6 August 1897 in Creston, Iowa, and died on 20 October 1971 in Los Angeles County, California.
