## Biography

Ben Snyder is a writer, producer, director and playwright. He wrote one episode of the HBO series *Betty* (2020–2021) and served as producer on six episodes. He was a staff writer on the Netflix series *Grand Army* (2020).

Snyder wrote and directed the feature films *11:55* (2016) and *Allswell in New York* (2022), the latter of which won the Best Screenplay Award in the U.S. Narrative Feature category at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival. He was story consultant on the documentary *The Wolfpack* (2015). His short films have screened at Cannes, Aspen and Austin film festivals and on PBS.

Snyder has taught screenwriting at Brooklyn College’s Feirstein School since 2018. He is a member of Labyrinth Theater Company. His plays have been produced at venues including P.S. 122, the Vineyard Theater and the Apollo Theater, and have received NAACP Image Award nominations.
