## Biography

Benedikte Hansen is a Danish actress. She trained at Statens Teaterskole (1978–1981) and has performed on stage at the Royal Danish Theatre and other Copenhagen venues, appearing in productions including *Mourning Becomes Electra* (1991), *Kjartan and Gudrun* (1993) and *Antony and Cleopatra* (2001).

She is best known for her recurring role as journalist Hanne Holm in the television series *Borgen* (2010–2013). Other screen credits include Birgitte Agger in *The Killing* (2009), the Baroness in the BBC adaptation of *The Lady Vanishes* (2013), Grevinde Anne-Grethe in *Seaside Hotel* (2013–2024) and Jørgen’s mother in *The Girl with the Needle* (2024). In 2016 she received the Reumert Award for Best Actress.
