## Biography

Benjamin Biolay is a French actor, singer, musician, songwriter and record producer. Born on 20 January 1973 in Villefranche-sur-Saône, he trained at the Lyon Conservatory and began his career in music before moving into acting.

He is known for roles including Victor Hugo in *Personal Shopper* (2016), Richard Warrimer in *On a Magical Night* (2019), Fred de Meurs in *France* (2021) and appearances in *Memoir of War* (2017) and *Madame Claude* (2021). He has also composed for and produced albums by other French artists.

Biolay was married to actress and singer Chiara Mastroianni from 2002 to 2005.
