## Biography

Benjamín Fernández is a Spanish production designer and art director. Born in Madrid, he began his career in the film industry as a draftsman before advancing to art direction and production design roles on international productions.

He is credited as production designer on *True Romance* (1993). Other notable credits include production design on *The Others* (2001), *Man on Fire* (2004) and *The Sea Inside* (2004), and supervising art director on *Gladiator* (2000). He has also worked on films including *Alien* (1979), *Dune* (1984), *Conan the Barbarian* (1982) and *Enemy of the State* (1998).

Fernández has received multiple Goya Awards for production design, including for *The Others* (2001) and *Captain Alatriste: The Spanish Musketeer* (2006).
