## Biography

Bert Youn is an animation writer, storyboard artist and director. He contributed as writer and story artist to the Cartoon Network miniseries *Over the Garden Wall* (2014), for which he shared a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program in 2015. He has also written for *Adventure Time* (2010–2014), *We Bare Bears* (2015–2018) and *Star vs. the Forces of Evil* (2015).

Youn trained at CalArts, where he studied animation, following an art-specialist high school. He interned at Pixar before completing his studies and later took an apprenticeship at Disney. His directing credits include multiple episodes of *Amphibia* (2019) and *Carol & the End of the World* (2023), as well as supervising director work on *Wylde Pak* (2025–2026).
