Berwick Kaler is a British actor. He was born on 31 October 1946 in the Sunderland area of England. He left school at 15 and began working in theatre, later appearing in television series including *Spender* (1991) as DS Dan Boyd and *The New Statesman* (1987).

Kaler has film credits including *Go Now* (1995) as Sammy, *Jude* (1996) as Farmer Troutham, *A Knight's Tale* (2001) as Man in Stocks and *Red Riding: The Year of Our Lord 1974* (2009) as George Greaves. He is also known for long-running work in pantomime at the York Theatre Royal, where he performed as the dame, and wrote and directed productions until 2020.
